Hello, I appreciate the time you have taken to visit and look around. The site has been a project I have worked on for close to two years, and it has gone through a number of changes in that time.
Recently, I made the decision to deconstruct the site and took some time away to think about the changes I would make. Through it all, I have had a vision of the Phoenix. Not the city and not the X-Men character, but the mythological bird that burned to a crisp and then rose from its own ashes.
It was a dramatic vision and maybe it was not the most original, but it was enough to convince me that I could take my Web site to another level. I spent some time away from my project, but now I feel ready to move forward.
My vision includes opening opportunities for others to contribute their reviews and opinions. This will include having a page for local video store clerks to contribute their recommendations. I will also create space for guest contributions to have their reviews read. Of course, I will provide a links page to guide visitors to other sites of relevant interests.
All of this will take time, since I am still planning to provide information on current and future DVD titles, various types of reviews (including in-depth and candid thoughts/opinions of a title), and my anticipation of titles I have not yet seen. As the site grows, I invite readers and visitors to e-mail me with feedback and contributions at reeldvdnews@yahoo.com, and promise to respond in a timely manner.
In the meantime, please enjoy your visit and feel free to bookmark the site for future stops. I also want to invite you to sign-up for the upcoming e-newsletter Sound Bytes, which will be sent out to a private e-mail list.
Sincerely,
Eric M. Croas
